Lynn has come a long way, constantly pushing to persue what she loves.   "Singing is very cathartic," Lynn said, "I have soothed my own pain by singing lyrics that I've written which mean something to me and I'm very pleased when someone tells me they love my voice, because I know how hard I worked on it from where I started from.  It's a certain kind of triumph for me to be considered a good singer, especially since I was shot down in the studio on my very first recording I ever made to sing a song I had written. I was only about 16 and didn't have a clue about how to sing in a recording studio having never done it before.  The owner of this studio (still in operation today) who was also the recording engineer at the time, for some reason felt the need to criticize my performance and give me his opinion that he didn't think I "had it" to be a singer. I was devastated and it affected me for a very long time afterwards. It was a terrible thing to do to someone who was there trying out something new for the very first time and paying him to help me. I never, ever forgot that and I may just send him a copy of my CD to show him he was wrong! Maybe I should also include a thank you note with the CD. I think I used his negative words as fuel to never quit and to just keep continuing to try and get better and better and, you know, it worked.

When Lynn Carey Saylor isn't too occupied with her music, she enjoys going to movies, ice skating, and roller blading.  Although not a huge fan of exercising, she manages to get quite a workout running around with her two young dogs.  "The way I keep my weight in check for the most part, I think, is that I simply refuse to ever buy a pair of pants bigger than a size 3," she explained, "That's what I wear and if the 3's start getting too tight, I know it's time to watch what I'm eating for a bit."

Although Lynn is a great singer, she always puts her songwriting first and writes songs for other artists as well as herself.  She mostly writes in the genres of Pop, Rock, and Country, and she's written for both male
