From a childhood of singing in her father’s church to working as a demo and backup singer, Kimber Manning believes past efforts are pointing to the success of her current project. A solo CD (Kimber Manning - Eventually) that garners much enthusiasm from inside the music and from those people who just enjoy good music.
Kimber was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida. In pursuit of her singing career, Kimber says she found herself in "Where is the beach?" Nashville, Tennesse. Asked if she enjoys living in Nashville - Kimber advises, "I don't remember, but I can't get out."
One of the greatest satisfactions Kimber has in singing is "I love connecting with people" Kimber said. "A little girl came up to me once after a show and told me I was her favorite singer besides Amy Grant." High praise indeed! Unfortunately, this doesn't have a happy ending because "I found out she was murdered 6 months later, she was killed in a fast food robbery. She was working that night."
From her first efforts in her father's church, Kimber has toured with Southern Gospel's New Speer Revival for a time. She holds "My time with God" of special importance and watches what she eats. "Little dairy, little yeast and utilize Yoga and Pilates for exercise," Kimber said. She also enjoys boating, fishing, swimming and "laying around veg'n out" when she's not performing.
Kimber has keen sense for ear-friendly, energetic lyrics such as those found in her solo CD, Kimber Manning - Eventually Kimber’s voice has the on-the-mark melodic control one expects from a performer with her training and experience. As an artist, she gives full expression to the passionate, soulful demands of the songs. She has appeared on Nashville area television and radio many times.
